Frequently Asked Questions
Elite Services has operated in Western Canada's poultry sector since 2005. We handle animals, install equipment, and clean barns for commercial farms across Canada. Our work is specialized and tightly regulated.
Elite Services aims to provide transparency and accurate information about how we operate and how we respond when issues arise.

What does Elite Services do?
Elite Services is a Chilliwack, BC based group of companies established in 2005. We provide poultry handling, equipment installations, and barn cleaning services to commercial poultry operations across Canada. Our work is specialized; we do not own or operate farms.
Where does Elite Services operate?
Our head office is in Chilliwack, BC. Our crews work across Canada under contract to commercial poultry operations.
Does Elite Services own poultry farms?
No. We are a service provider to farms. The farms we work with are owned and operated independently. Our role is to deliver specialized services — handling, vaccinations, equipment installation, and barn cleaning — to those operations.
What standards guide your animal welfare practices?
Our Standard Operating Procedures are built on Canada's National Codes of Practice for the care and handling of poultry. Every employee completes humane handling training as part of onboarding. Our management team conducts monthly audits across crews and locations, and our animal welfare program includes both internal and regular third-party audits to verify that the National Codes of Practice are being consistently followed in the field, not only on paper.
How does Elite Services handle euthanasia?
Humane euthanasia is part of responsible poultry handling. It is governed by strict protocols set out in the National Codes of Practice and is carried out only by trained personnel. Done correctly, it is the most humane option available when an animal is suffering. We take this responsibility seriously.
Is Elite Services regulated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA)?
Poultry in Canada is one of the most tightly regulated sectors in the food system. The CFIA oversees food safety, animal health, and humane treatment. Provincial ministries, commodity boards, and workplace safety regulators add further requirements.
Elite Services operates as a service provider to farms that fall under this system. Our work is conducted in accordance with the National Codes of Practice and the protocols required by the CFIA and our customers. We cooperate fully with inspections, audits, and regulatory inquiries.
How does Elite Services train its employees?
Every new employee completes a New Staff Orientation that includes a workplace safety module, humane handling training, and a clear explanation of how to report concerns. Training is reinforced through regular crew meetings and ongoing education. Standards are documented, and adherence is verified through the company’s audit program.
